Junyj Allen Stjuart Kenigsberg načal pisat gazetnye feletony i jumorističeskie miniatjury dlja nočnych klubov uže v pjatnadcat let, pridumav sebe tvorčeskij psevdonim Vudi Allen. Ne zakončiv školu, stal sotrudničat s populjarnymi žurnalami New Yorker, Playboy, Evergreen, gde pečatalis ego jumoreski i feletony, i, krome togo, sočinjal sketči dlja jumorističeskich televizionnych programm. V kino Allen debjutiroval v 1965 godu kak akter i scenarist, spustja četyre goda postavil svoj pervyj film, a v 1977-m - on uže obladatel četyrech statuėtok "Oskar". Snimaja v god po filmu, a to i po dva, istinnoj svoej strastju sčitaet sočinenie rasskazov. Vudi Allen - avtor šesti jumorističeskich knig, četyre iz nich sborniki: "Svodja sčëty" (1971), "Bez perev" (1975), "Pobočnye ėffekty" (1980) i "Čistaja anarchija" (2007). "Bez perev" - ėto izjaščnyj teatr absurda, gde Allen smešivaet žanry i stili, parodiruja klassikov.
